Redeveloped $66 million Premium Ringwood Station now open

Dee Ryall MP, Member for Ringwood was joined today by Ryan Smith, Member for Warrandyte and Heidi Victoria, Member for Bayswater to declare the re-developed Ringwood Station and Bus Interchange, open.

The $66 million in funding provided in 2013 to redevelop the Ringwood Station and Bus Interchange has seen a transformation, including:

  • The upgrade of Ringwood Station, including full accessibility, improved pedestrian amenity and shelter;
  • A new pedestrian concourse;
  • An upgrade of the heritage-listed brick station building;
  • Reconstruction and expansion of the bus interchange;
  • New toilet facilities;
  • A new high-quality and landscaped station forecourt.

Consultation and planning commenced in 2013, with construction commencing early in 2014. Completion of the Ringwood Station and Bus Interchange redevelopment marks a significant step as a major public transport hub for commuters and visitors alike.

Much needed PSOs were introduced at Ringwood Station in 2012.

The Station not only delivers a modern epicenter for commuters, it also provides great access to the recently developed Eastland Shopping Centre, Ringwood Town Square and REALM.
